HONORING OUR MILITARY AT HOME !

On September 17th ,We'll be on our way to Kansas City,Missouri . To be in a motor escort that ....I hope to write this without tears in my eyes.We will be escorting a  3/4  scaled replica of  the original Memorial at Arlington,Va. " The Tomb of The Unknown Soldier ".The
Patriot Guard Riders of Kansas City are also going to help with the escort to Avoca,Arkansas.I wish that I could see it all the way to where it's going .But to me just an honor  being able to do this escort to Honor all the soldiers past & present . I stopped several times
as I wrote this as the tears fell - it is an over whelming emotion to do something that means so much too alot of people out there. To all the soldiers here that's reading this ,"THANK YOU & GOD BLESS YOUR COMMITTMENT THAT YOU HAVE GAVEN TO US!" I just wish that everyone could here this & know that - YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN & YOU ARE WELL LOVED AS WELL AS MISSED!!
As I bow my head & pray that the Lord brings you all home safe to us my Father's Navy pictures flash in my mind.Wishing that I could take away all the bad images ,all the pain that you suffered & the family that you grew to love since training day -vanish
before your eyes.If there was a way I would if I could. To replace those memories with love , laughter & family to grow old with.
I cry everytime I hear a soldier has lost their life. I wish most of all I could bring you home!!!

I will be posting pictures from the escort on here when I get back.

Every soldier fights for the rights of his motherland.  Which country it is or who is the opponent, who is/was right, who is/was wrong - is immaterial.  The soldier fights for the self respect of his mother land and he does it so that the other civilians may rest in peace.  But that soldier is also someone's son, brother, father, uncle, cousin, etc.  The family that loses a soldier, loses one of their own blood - but they do not condole his death, they, instead, and sagaciously, pay homage to the martyr.

So let us all salute all those who laid down their lives for the freedom of their respective countries as also who fought for the self respect of their mother lands.

Well said hon!! And AMEN!

I believe that every citizen, young and old, naturalized and green carded, should stand side by side.  From state line to state line to honor all those who's calling it has been to be our guardians of peace.  The sacrifice made not only by our military, but our military families should be honored, recognized, and paid well.  What's wrong with our country that a rock star, movie star, or professional ball player should be paid so rediculously more than those that would lay down their lives for our freedoms?

So many have given their lives for us to be able to enjoy what we have, sometimes I feel sad because so many take so much for granted, Some years back I met a beautiful man on line he was a career soldier and had done two tours of Iraq, in October of 2006 he was going back for another tour, during that time I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I had sent him an email to tell him and he told me not to worry about him because he would be fine and that when he got back that we would hook up and meet in person and that he hoped the very best for me, well I went through what I did and lost touch it was very hard on me, I had heard that nine soldiers from the 84Th airborne out of Fort Brag had been killed in enemy fire it was not until I had finished up my treatments that I had found out that he had been one of the nine who had given up his life to make sure we are safe, it still brings tears to my eyes even today when I think about it and what a wonderful man he was who left a elven year old son without a dad.. So God bless all of our military for what they do.
