Toronto's manager Jay Gibbons called Rodriguez base running distraction "bush league."
I don't see the big deal. I'm certain this isn't the first time it's happened, but it is the first time it's worked for Alex Rodriguez. Which is obviously why it's even a story."I told him it's bush league. That's what we do in Little League," Gibbons said. "The one thing that everybody in the game respects about the Yankees is that they play the game right, they play the game hard. That's what they're known for. They're a class operation.
"That was bush league; it's just not Yankee baseball, man."
Just like we wouldn't care if Mark DeRosa was seen out with a random blonde, we wouldn't notice if he yelled out to a fielder making an infield catch. It's all about A-Rod and our quick trigger to criticize him for everything because he makes more money than just about everyone in sports. Baseball is a game of stealing sign, finding little advantages where you can. Yanks benefited from the play and won the game. Good for him.
Bush league or fair play?
