Half Day: Adrian Peterson Left Game with Knee Injury

I think we found the best way to stop Adrian Peterson. Rookie rushing record is no longer in jeopardy.

There's likely to be a few more people praying tonight in Minnesota. We're certain Brad Childress will be one of those because he has zero offense without Peterson.

AD was limited to a half day when he took a brutal shot to the knee (legal hit). Reports this evening are saying a knee "sprain," but I think it's likely to be a season ender. Several weeks would be a best case scenario which means the offense in Minnesota may be non existent.

Green Bay had contained Peterson is the first half, limiting him to 45 rushing yards, but the big run was going to come eventually. Vikings fans and those who just enjoy watching him run will be praying it's only a sprain.

Peterson Update: Sprain, but MRI tomorrow (Access Vikings)

That would be assuming that Childress didn't repeat what he did last time and actually use AD in the second half.

I feel real bad for AD. He is such a tremendous talent and has had the worst luck with injuries. I really hope he is ok because not only is he a great player but he is a really good guy.

AD has scary talent but everybody knew this was the reason he slid a little in the draft.  His toughness and durabilty just might not be good enough to last in this league.  But hey, how bout them Packers?!  And now that we have a running game with Ryan Grant who had his second 100+ yard rushing game in 3 weeks the only thing thats getting in the Packers way will be N.E. in the desert.

To be fair, anyone would get hurt if hit like that.

He's had some awful luck when it comes to injuries... I guess bad things do happen to good people.
