Looking back on the past Heisman winners leading up until tonight's presentation ...
If I had to trace my hatred for Notre Dame back to its conception, I would say this is the game and the player. Tim Brown absolutely torching the Spartans in 1987 that served as his signature game. I remember watching this game with my grandparents who rarely, if ever, used profanities. On this day, that's about all there was as a very good Michigan State defense had no chance.
Brown was electric in all facets. In a running era, his stats are deceiving (846 receiving yards, 3 TD; 144 rushing yards, 1 TD; 857 return yards, 3 TD) but remains one of the best college football players I ever watched.
