My Take:
1. Matt Ryan - Only Brett Favre made two better throws than the BC quarterback over the extended football weekend. Big players make the big plays that change the complexion of a game. Ryan did that on Thursday night in Blacksburg and convinced me he deserves the Heisman at this stage of the season. 2. Tim Tebow - I'm essentially downgrading Tebow because the Gators defense couldn't stop Knowshon Moreno last week which is one of my biggest Heisman voting pet peeves, but Matt Ryan made the plays at the end of the game and I've got to hold Tim to the same standard. 3. Dennis Dixon - I'm starting to have this sneaking suspicion Dixon has a Vince Young-esque performance in the National Title game that will make everyone second guess why the award went to someone else. 4. Andre' Woodson - 3 interceptions last week. Ouch. Unlike most, I haven't forgot what he'd done in the previous 8 games. 5. Chase Daniel - Soon to be replaced by Mike Hart.
Oh Darren McFadden where art thou?
Who's your Heisman right now? Please don't give me any Colt Brennan arguments. Do you realize how badly these 5 quarterbacks above would tear it up against that schedule in that offense?
