You tell me. Its looks like a cheap shot as the catcher ducks and the pitcher throws a little high. There is no way to prove beyond a doubt that this was a conspiracy to hit the Ump, but it sure looks suspicious. The catcher evidently explained it away by saying he was expecting a curve ball and got a fastball.
It looks to me like he ducked out hard and fast. Bush league. The pitcher was drafted in the last couple of weeks, and the catcher has his walk on offer at some college rescinded. I have included some of the story from freerepublic.com and some of the posts that followed.
It was a purpose pitch... Its the school that has to pay the biggest price for their antics..
