So here we are, the olympics are 3 days old and already Michael Phelps has more medals than 190 countries in the Olympics, unfortunantly that also includes my own country of Canada. Now I know there are some countries that won't be able to compete against Phelps' goal of 8 medals, including such powerhouses as Azerbaijan, Bhutan, Burkina Faso, and the ever powerful Liechtenstein.
He's going to be going after his 3rd gold today in the Men's 4X100m freestyle relay final, they come into the event as the favorite, backing that up by posting the quickest qualifting time to get to the finals.
Will Phelps be able to complete his quest for 8 gold medals, will he or his team falter and not even surpass the 6 gold he won in Sydney? only the next few weeks are going to be able to tell.
