I Like Watching the Lakers Lose
And this year, the Lakers thought they were going to be all that-and a bag of chips. Keeping Pau Gasol and Metta World Peace, and bringing in the aging, yet legendary Steve Nash as well as the annoying Dwayne Howard. They should be great. Really great. But they suck. Really suck. And I'm thoroughly enjoying it.
Now, what Mike Brown was doing coaching the Lakers in the first place I have no idea. But to keep him and try to work with such huge personalities was a huge mistake. And then, to fire him just a couple games in, start a whole to-do with Phil Jackson only to smack him in the face with the hiring of Mike D-Antoni was awful. How are any of these players supposed to respect D'Antoni after they all knew Jackson was the only choice.
You know things are bad in Lakerdome, when Magic Johnson thinks the season is over for them before the All Star Break. Jack Nicholson is leaving his court side seats early-and every image they show of Mike D'Antoni is him with his hands in his face. I attach the following thoughts I believe must be running through his head, "Why did I take this job? What was I thinking? How can I get the heck out of here. This sucks". Every time.
Now, I usually don't have huge dislike for other NBA teams. I think the Thunder are amazing, the Clippers are fantastic to watch this season, there is a lot to be excited about across the NBA. But, I must admit, I am really enjoying watching the Lakers turn into a excuse filled, no heart, whiny bunch of losers.
