Don't even ask me how I found this video. It's a 1989 rap for the Perth Wildcats, one of Australia's pro basketball teams. The funny thing is, even though it's an Australian team, I'm not sure anyone from the team was actually Australian. As hardcore basketball fans know, if you fail in the NBA - or simply don't make it - Australia is one of the places you can go to still earn a living. Although apparently they also force you to make horrible music videos. Just so you know, this clip features everything you'd want in a foreign basketball music video: popped yellow collars, kids making fun of each other, random pelvic thrusts, and cowboy cheerleaders. SA-weet!
And if you thought that was the only video made by the Wildcats, you sir are wrong. They also did one for, uh, what would seem to be a slightly more targeted audience. If you don't understand what I'm hinting at, just watch the prancing.
OMG. WOW. That was horribly cheesey. Why did sprots teams in the '80s feel the need to make these ridiculous videos? What was worse back then? the hair or the clothes. I say the clothes, people still do rock the mullet. (that doesn't make it right though)
