As a member of the Flames for 16 1/2 seasons, Iginla did everything and more for their franchise. Here is what Iginla did while with the Flames:

Scored over 500 goals
Scored over 1,000 points
Scored at least 30 goals for 11 straight seasons
- Helped get the team to a Cup Final in 2004
Was an NHL All-Star (2002, 2003, 2004, 2008, 2009, and 2012)
Won the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy as the league's leading goal scorer (2002 and 2004)
Won the Art Ross Trophy as the league's leading scorer (2002)
Won the Lester B. Pearson Trophy as the league's most valuable player as voted by the players (2002)
Was the team captain (2003-2013)

The list could go on and on when it comes to what Iginla, 36, meant to the Flames organization. Iginla will always be remembered as a Flame and someone that had the Flames' logo ingrained on his heart.

With all of that said, however, times have changed for Iginla and now as a member of the Boston Bruins, he is having a terrific season and looking to win his first Cup. Based on what he has done so far this season, his efforts could go a long way in determining how far the Bruins go in April, May, and June.

For starters, Iginla has gotten back to putting the puck in the net. As of this writing, Iginla leads the Bruins in goals with 26 markers and is on his way to scoring 30 goals for the 12th time in his career.

Iginla has been able to find the back of the net in a variety of ways this season. he has done so with his accurate shot, not being afraid to shoot the puck (second on the team with 187 shots), by having a nose for the net to deflect pucks in and bang rebounds home, and by being in the right place at the right time.

The Bruins' second leading scorer this season (26 goals and 30 assists for 56 points) is also doing a good job of setting up his teammates this season. Iginla is third on the team with 30 assists and has been able to find his teammates sticks whether he shoots it or makes a smart pass.

Iginla has also been the Bruins' best player in terms of coming through in the clutch. As of this writing, Iginla leads the team with seven game winning goals and come playoff time, that is going to be something that could be extremely valuable to have in a player.

Lastly, Iginla's leadership is something that does not go unnoticed. This is a player that has accomplished a lot in his career and with a chance to win his first Cup, his experience, passion, hard work and determination will be valuable qualities during hockey's second season.
