Influenza

It's running rampant through the hardwood all across the country.  It's like a freakin' disease, man!  Teams are finding it difficult to close.  I don't recall a situation in the past where so many games involved one team's late and total collapse at the end.  And it's not just limited to either the NBA or the colleges.  It's happening frequently in both, and it's really a bad time of year for it.  It makes things even more difficult on someone like me because it's something you just can't predict.  I do the best I can, so here we go again.

COLLEGE HOOPS  (3-4 ATS/4-3 SU/4-3 TOTALS last night and 18-10/21-7/15-13 so far for the week)
It won't be as physically demanding as last weekend, but The Madness is back to rule the next 4 days.

BUTTA  (1-1 last night and 3-1 so far for the week)
Baylor/Wisconsin (O136) - I don't know who's going to win this game.  I have a feeling it will be Baylor advancing, but that feeling isn't strong enough to make that move.  What I do feel strongly about, though, is this TOTAL.  The number is extremely vulnerable to the OVER with 2 teams that have struggled on defense this season and have had to outscore many opponents to reach this point in the proceedings.

ALL THE REST

THE MADNESS
Ucla (+4 1/2, U138 1/2) 58 Dayton 43
Florida 50 Stanford (-3 1/2, U133) 52

Baylor (+3 1/2, O136) 76 San Diego St. (+8, U121 1/2)    49
Wisconsin 73 Arizona 55
CIT
Towson 66
MURRAY ST/ (-4, U147 1/2)         79

NCAA NOTES:
---One of this year's Cinderella's will definitely go home without it's slipper tonight with the Dayton/Stanford matchup.  Both have been really impressive in their 2 previous games, and if there ever was a "toss up" game, that game would be it.
---I was really looking hard at Murray St. for the win tonight over Towson, but looking over things a 2nd and 3rd time, it's clear that the Towson squad is more than battle tested.  They've won 2 games in the CIT so far and both were on the road.  Maybe if the TOTAL came down a tick or 2, the OVER might be worth a look in that game.

THE NBA  (6-4 ATS/7-3 SU/4-6 TOTALS last night and 15-16/19-12/14-17 so far for the week)

BUTTA  (0-1 last night and 1-2 so far for the week)
I'm just not seeing anything here worth my investment.

ALL THE REST
Blazers   98 76ers   90
HAWKS (+4 1/2, U207 1/2) 106 ROCKETS (-19 1/2, U215) 123

Lakers 109 Clippers (-1, O209 1/2) 108
BUCKS (-3, O219 1/2) 122 MAVS 107

NBA NOTES:
---A definite pick your poison game in Atlanta.  Both the Blazers and Hawks are going in the wrong direction at the worst possible time.  At least one of them Is sure to come away with a win, but I don't know if that's necessarily a good thing.
---I could go either way with the Clips and Mavs game tonight as my projection indicates.  The only reason I would give a slight lean to L.A. is the fact that CP3 went 0-for-12 shooting last night.  I think he might have some redemption in mind for tonight.

That'll do it for another Thursday, folks!  I don't see any particularly late nights like we had last week, and that works for me.  As long as I'm in the rack by around 1am, I'm good to go again by 6.  Have a great night, and if you're starting your weekend a bit early, be careful out there.  I'll see you tomorrow.
