It seems like luck is at war against the Buffalo Bills. In Week 11 not only did the Bills succumb to an embarrassing defeat to the Miami Dolphins but they lost a couple of crucial players from their team. The Bills had a brilliant start to the season, however injuries and sheer bad luck have ravaged their season.
In the aftermath of the battle at the Sun Life Stadium, the Bills will now add Terrence McGee, Donald Jones, Fred Jackson and David Nelson to the injury list. The Dolphins on the other hand celebrated their 35-8 victory and an impressive comeback into the season.
Reports arriving from within the club have confirmed that the Bills have lost their star cornerback Terrence McGee to a knee injury. The initial medical reports show that the player will be out for the rest of the season however, McGee has been sent for further scans.
Wide receiver Jones has also been sent for further examinations but he is expected to recover within 3-6 weeks. This is the second time both players have picked up injuries this season.
According to the medical report Jones has suffered a brutal medical injury. It is thought to be the same kind of injury (high ankle sprain) Jones endured in earlier in the season. Jones was ruled out of action for 3-6 weeks back then too.
Terrence McGee has been dogged by injuries for the past 2 seasons, therefore this is just another episode of the saga. McGee realizes that these nagging injuries are forcing to spend too much time on the bench. This will be the 7th consecutive season McGee will miss a match because of an injury. Last season McGee appeared in just 9 games.
Amidst all these injuries it is surprising to see that Fred Jackson has been removed from the injury list. Head coach Chan Gailey told media that Jackson’s X-rays came up negative therefore he has been released from medical care. Bills plan to call upon his services if he is needed in their next match against the New York Jets.
There is a huge difference in the lineups of Bills presently and at the start of the season. Injuries are the most pestilent factor behind this. The Bills have lost a lot of confidence because of this and are now at 5 wins and 5 losses till Week 11.
