Inter star Wesley Sneijder not worried “about the money”
Inter Milan star Wesley Sneijder insists he is not worried about earning money in his search for a new club. The Netherlands international claims that the monetary aspect of his imminent away move is of little worry to him, but Inter Milan’s behavior on the topic has cause a lot of distress.
The Dutch playmaker stressed that his decision on whether to join Galatasaray had nothing to do with money. Wesley Sneijder further stated that Inter Milan were putting him under pressure to make a quick decision on the issue.
Earlier this week, Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti asked Wesley Sneijder to make a quick decision about his future. Massimo Moratti has been urging Wesley Sneijder to put pen on paper for the Galatasaray deal since Day One.
However, Wesley Sneijder has made it loud and clear that he will not be rushed into making a quick decision about his football career.
“This is not about the money,” Wesley Sneijder told Italian media out La Gazzetta dello Sport. “Like every player who could be on the move this window, I have to make a decision by January 31. I do not want to rush anything, and I don't like it how Inter have put pressure on me.
“I am almost being forced to make a rushed decision about my future at a crucial moment in my life. After all that's happened in the past few months, I feel that I do not deserve to be pressured like this.”
Wesley Sneijder has featured in the Inter Milan side since September of last year. The 28-year-old got sidelined from the squad over a contract dispute, which lead to Wesley Sneijder handing in a transfer request.
The former Real Madrid star Wesley Sneijder is expected to leave Giuseppe Meazza’s side before the end of the January transfer. Interest from top notch European clubs has been on the rise since Wesley Sneijder’s disagreement with Inter Milan.
Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain have been linked to Wesley Sneijder for a couple of weeks now. The deal with Galatasaray has left the whole transfer saga in the mist. The matter is expected to reach its conclusion this weekend.
