The British Formula One driver Martin Brundle believes Lewis Hamilton has four choices next season. Martin Brundle, who presently commentates for Sky Sports, reckons his compatriot Lewis Hamilton will have a tough choice to make when the season is finally over.

Martin Brundle pointed out that Lewis Hamilton could opt for the comforts of home by staying with McLaren next season or he could explore his options which could be like “fresh oxygen” to him.

Martin Brundle further stated that Lewis Hamilton’s decision would greatly affect the Briton’s future in the sport. The 27-year-old British driving prodigy, Lewis Hamilton has only won one Formula One Championship (2008). However, with that victory Lewis Hamilton became the youngest and first black man to lift the Championship trophy.

The “Flying Scot”, Sir Jackie Stewart reckons Lewis Hamilton should stay in contract with Formula One team McLaren if he wants to achieve further greatness. In an interview last week, Sir Jackie advised Lewis Hamilton to accept the offer from McLaren which would see the young driver become the highest paid Formula One driver.

However, Lewis Hamilton needs time to think over this matter. Lewis Hamilton, who will be out of a contract at the end of the season, has reportedly been offered a three-year £60 million contract by McLaren. The offer seems to be on the table but an uninterested Lewis Hamilton would rather concentrate on the season right now.

Rumor has it McLaren initially offered Lewis Hamilton a five-year £100 million contract. If that is true then the contract probably got scraped because Lewis Hamilton’s unwillingness to commit his future with a Formula One team in the long run.

Moreover, why should he?

Lewis Hamilton has offers from three other Formula One teams namely; Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes. Apparently, all of the top three Formula One teams are ready to present Lewis Hamilton with a lucrative contract.

“It's contract negotiation time but the question is where could he go?” Martin Brundle admitted in an with Sky Sports News. “Mercedes-Benz are starting to go very well and he has a strong relationship with them... Ferrari (are another option), but would Alonso have him there?”

“Red Bull, but would Vettel have Hamilton there - or will Vettel indeed be there given there's talk of him moving to Ferrari?”

Martin Brundle concluded that Lewis Hamilton may have four options on the table but in reality they were just two. Martin Brundle explained that Lewis Hamilton could either stay close to the comforts of home or embark on a new adventure.

“He's comfortable at McLaren but will he fancy a bit of fresh oxygen by going somewhere else? I imagine he's weighing that all up at the moment,” Martin Brundle said.
