It Took Roger Clemens Three Weeks to Come Up With Lidocaine and B-12?
READ MORE:
I'm not expecting a whole lot from Roger Clemens 60 Minutes interview that will air Sunday night. We've already heard the most notable statement coming from the help-me-out planned discussion with Mike Wallace. Clemens admits to being injected by former trainer Brian McNamee:
"Lidocaine and B-12. It’s for my joints, and B-12 I still take today."
It took him three weeks to come up with this admission? Sniff ... Sniff ... you smell that too? This is going to be a long, drawn out process of Roger slowly backing down and coming clean. Sad.

McNamee's attorney responded to these remarks:
"Brian has a master's degree in sports medicine," Ward told ESPN The Magazine's Shaun Assael. "He knows the difference between lidocaine, B-12 and testosterone. What he injected into Roger Clemens wasn't lidocaine or B-12. It was testosterone."
Roger's next response will be typical. "I didn't knowingly take testosterone. My trainer injected it without my permission."

B-12?  I don't think so, take pills.  Lidocaine, you took a local anesthesia for your joints?  Nice try.  So you numbed your knees, elbows, neck, ankles, fingers.  I am calling BS on all of this.  Flax-seed oil is the next one on the list, I am sure.

It looks like Clemens is setting this up to be a "I didn't knowingly take steroids/hGH/PEDs," b/c I bet if there are lawsuits, McNamee's lawyers can prove that McNamee injected Clemens... but probably won't be able to prove beyond a reasonable doubt what he was injected with.

Roger would've been a whole lot better off just admitting he took these injections and then having one of his media friends write about how this isn't that big of a deal because we still don't know half of what went on during this era.

Watching the interview and listening to Clemens over the last few weeks definitely shows what kind of character he has. Does he really expect us to believe the lies he is telling us. Doe he think we are that stupid. He used to be one of my favorite players. I am tired of all the players that think they can get away with anything.
