I am a Redskins Fan.  Have been since 1984 as an 8 year old betting my dad $10 that the Redskins would beat the Raiders.  My dad didn't make me pay up, but he taught me the lesson that Everyone one else would want their money.  I have paid my Dad every bet I have lost to him.

But back to why I'm writing. For at least 3 months I have been reading about everyone not a Patriots fan wishing they would lose, they were a bunch of cheaters, nobody likes their coach, Brady this, Moss that, they run up the score, no tact, yadda, yadda, yadda.  A lot of it extends from the fact that the Patriots have had lots of success recently.  If it had been any team other than the Patriots, would people have been embracing 19-0?  If the Cowgirls had walked in 18-0, I think most people would have been hating, and if it had been the Packers, it would have been about Favre, not the team.  Any other team probably would have been cheered, actually rooting for the 19-0, in my humble opinion.

So why was I rooting for 19-0?  History.  I was born in 76, just had my 32nd Birthday.  Anyone born in 72 would be turning 36 this year, and I'll go so far as to say anyone younger than 42 this year, couldn't tell you anything about the '72 Dophins other than what they see on Film.  I wanted history.  Everyone on this site understands what Parody is in the NFL.  They know how much harder it is to go 18-1 now then it was even 10 years ago.  19-0 would have been a once in a lifetime moment, and (according to NFL TV ratings) 6 billion people would have seen it.

Lots of people knew I was rooting for the Patriots to go 19-0, basically just for the history aspect of it.  Yet everyone seemed to text/call me saying ha ha like i've been rooting for the Patriots all 40 years of my 32 year existence. Just not true, I wanted to see History.  Every person on this site would love to see their team go 19-0, or undefeated in any sport, because it's just not going to happen (other than college football, but that's not a guarantee anymore either).  So yes the Patriots loss, and perfection was denied, but just remember when you're being a cocky @$$ when you're team is undefeated, and you have to respond "don't be a hater because we rule" to every insult thrown your way.  Karma does bounce all over.
