Naturally, this poor performance has angered a few people. It's even made them so mad that they're selling their Kentucky championship ring.
Or at least I hope that's the case. Because if it's not, I'm not really sure I want to know why they're selling it.
Yes, Wayne Turner, who had one of the worst shots I can ever remember, is selling his 1998 championship ring. Well, maybe he isn't. I'm not really sure who is. Here's what it says on eBay.
The 1998 Kentucky men's basketball team won Tubby Smith his first National Title at Kentucky. This [size] "11" ring once belonged to Wayne Turner, the superstar point guard on the team, and features a black onyx middle stone which says "NCAA". "1998" and "Champions" are raised off on the 10K ring. One side reads "Kentucky" while the other has "Turner" with a basketball settling through a hoop. The ONLY 1998 NCAA Championship Ring I have ever seen for sale. This is a real slam dunk of a ring that would make any UK fan's day.
Um, I don't know about you, but I'm just hoping Turner is alive. Apparently he just signed a one year deal with the NBL's New Zealand Breakers.Anyway, the starting bid for the ring is $2,500 and you can buy it instantly for $4,500. Yeah, let me just get wallet.
