J.J. Redick Out 6-8 Weeks With Hand and Elbow Injury
In the second quarter of the Clippers win over the Kings on Friday, J.J. Redick suffered a fracture in the small bone of his right hand and a tear of his right ulnar collateral ligament (UCL).
Redick will now miss 6-8 weeks for rehab.
This is terrible news for the Clippers, since the injury comes to Redick’s shooting hand. The 29-year-old was averaging almost 16ppg and shooting 36 percent from 3-point land.
The good news is, the Clippers have a lot of depth at the shooting guard positions with Jamal Crawford and Willie Green, who are more than capable of picking up the slack until Redick returns.
Redick will be re-evaluated on Monday for further examination and rehab.
