J.R. Smith Questions Future With Knicks After DNP
The future of J.R. Smith took a turn for the worse after he received a DNP on a nationally televised game against the Miami Heat on Thursday. What may have hurt Smith’s stock even more is that the Knicks beat the Heat 102-92 through the addition by subtraction or less is more principle. Smith is a chucker and tends to prevent the ball from moving whenever he gets his hands on it. Yesterday, however, the ball was free-flowing and the Knicks scored over a hundred points.
After the game, Smith said, "Honestly, I don't even know at this point. At one point I was for sure."
Smith’s DNP was probably a disciplinary measure after his latest shoelace antics, but if the rumors are true, he may be on the trading block very soon. No one questions Smith’s unbelievable talent; what they question is his unbelievable antics on and off the court.
Charles Barkley even went as far as to say, “He (Smith) would’ve drove Dr. Phil nuts.”
