Jack Josh Wilson Had the Best 7th Inning Ever, According to Yahoo! Sports
by CriticalFanatic

Notice anything abnormal there (besides the Rays kicking the Tigers ass)? Thanks to Sports by Brooks for the tip - Jack Wilson was everywhere last night in the 7th inning.

I realize the Tigers are pretty awful right now, and they were bad enough to let Jack Wilson get a hit last night. But I don't know if they were that desperate to trade for Jack during the 7th inning stretch.

Nice work, Yahoo! Sports, and thanks for the laugh. (note: haven't bothered to fix this yet, either.)

It's quite clear. Since he got a hit that scored a run he got to bat again with a ghost runner on first. Then since he got another hit that scored a run, he hit a third time with another ghost runner on. Again he got a 3rd straight hit so he got to bat a 4th an final time. The only reason the box score says Upton and Yound scored is because the stat guys can't give runs scored to ghost runners. This is all clearly logical as Yahoo! Sports never has fishy issues with their boxscores.

So does he play for the Tigers too because Jack Josh Wilson also hit a single and scored two Tigers in the Bottom of the 7th?

What's funnier above all these other things (which hve me busting a gut) is that the player's name is JOSH Wilson

I saw this too.... AS the game was going on, because I often leave that screen up during games that have my fantasy league players in them..  in this case, Crawford...    I was wondering what the heck was going on....

SOME OTHER THINGS OF NOTE ABOUT THAT BOX SCORE:

at one point, yahoo had the D-rays up to 15 runs (note, D-rays ended up with only 8 runs in reality)...       and they had Bonderman listed as giving up 20 hits and 6 walks  (in reality it was 10 hits and 3 walks).

They had Crawford listed as scoring 4 runs and knocking in 4 (in reality, it was 3 runs and 2 rbi).

plus of course, the J. Wilson errors talked about in here.

anyway, thought you might enjoy some more comedy of errors in this case. :)

What does that come out to? A 6 for 6 night with 4 singles, 1 double,  1 Homer, a Sac Fly, 1 run scored and 8 RBI? Nice night......

Yep, and they used the "special runner/hitter" rule like in the little league world series.
