The 0-16 dream is over for one team: Jaguars win
Naturally though, the Jags led most of the game and held on for a 29-27 win over the Titans. The team last win as a whole was Nov. 25, 2012, against, who else, the Titans.
Jacksonville took advantage of an early turnover to score 91 seconds in, and throughout the machinations of the game never trailed. The lead grew to 13-0 in the second quarter and 20-7 in the third quarter. From there though, the Titans became to slowly come back, albeit with Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback, as Jake Locker left with an injured right foot.
The key play happened halfway through the fourth. Down 7, the Titans committed a holding penalty in the end zone. The result was a safety and a 9 point lead for the Jags. Tennessee was able to get it to 22-20, but Fitzpatrick was stripped and Will Blackmon took it to the house with 2:32 left.
Of course, this being Jacksonville, the game still wasn't in hand just yet. The Titans scored a touchdown with 40 second left to get within two points again. The Jaguars got the onside kick though and could finally celebrate.
With the Jaguars off the schneid, the last winless team in the NFL are the Tampa Bay Bucs, who clearly do not have enough Schiano Men, or players that don't have deadly staph infections. They play the Dolphins, who of course have their own issues, tomorrow night. The dream of having two 0-16 teams in one season has ended.
