Stripper clocks Jacoby Jones in the head with 'gigantic' champagne bottle
The Baltimore Ravens' left tackle - a notorious party animal - turned 34 years old at the stroke of midnight after his team's dominating win over the Houston Texans on Sunday. Naturally, he and some of his teammates took a party bus to a nightclub in Washington D.C. At about 3 a.m., the crew returned to the party bus with "at least one stripper."
Shortly thereafter, a fight broke out on the bus. According to an eyewitness, a stripper named Sweet Pea swung a "gigantic" bottle of Ace of Spades champagne at McKinnie's teammate, wide receiver Jacoby Jones. The bottle connected with Jones' head, and he was reportedly "bleeding everywhere." One of Jones' friends then went after Sweet Pea, but McKinnie stepped in to prevent further altercation. I'm sure "Mount McKinnie" was successful in his efforts to protect the stripper, unless Jones hangs around with guys who are bigger than 6'8'' and 335 pounds.
An ambulance was called for "a bleeding male," but Jones was not taken to the hospital. Though there was plenty of evidence that an assault took place on the bus, no one was willing to cooperate with the police, so no charges were filed.
The NFL is unlikely to get involved in this matter, as there was no legal action taken, and it seems like Jones was the victim as much as anyone. As for Jones' injury, it is unlikely to have any sort of on-field effect, as he was already slated to miss 2-4 more weeks with a sprained MCL.
