Jack Del Rio's tenure as Jacksonville Jaguars' head coach as come to an end, reports ESPN's Chris Mortensen. Jaguars owner Wayne Weaver said before the season that Del Rio would be out as Jags coach if the team missed the playoffs this season, and after limping to a 3-8 start, including a loss Sunday to the injury-riddled Houston Texans, management decided to make the move now.

Defensive coordinator Mel Tucker will reportedly take the reins as interim head coach.

Del Rio took over the Jaguars in 2003 and compiled a record of 68-71 and 1-2 in the playoffs. He is only the second coach in franchise history (Tom Coughlin was the first).
