Jamaal Charles goes off for 5 touchdowns
Well, not exactly, because Charles torched the Raiders with his pass catching, recording 195 yards and 4 touchdowns. Four of his five touchdowns came in the first half, which ties a league record. It wasn't just short touchdowns either. Charles's day started with a 49 yard pass, then a 39 yard pass, followed by a 1 yard run, then finally a 16 yard pass in the first half. His one second half score was a 71 yard pass. The passes were all pretty similar. Charles got space after a screen pass (or deep with the last one) and then was off to the races. The Raiders couldn't touch him.
Kansas City used Charles's big day and five interceptions of Oakland's quarterback Matt McGloin to defeat the Raiders 56-31. The win means the Chiefs clinch a playoff berth. The rest of the AFC should fear Jamaal Charles. If he gets open space, it's over.
