The Thunder have traded James Harden to the Rockets
The answer is that they won't.
After failing to come to an agreement on an extension for Harden, the Thunder have traded him to the Houston Rockets.
The Thunder are also sending Cole Aldrich, Lazar Hayward, and Daequan Cook to Houston, in return for Kevin Martin, Jeremy Lamb, two 1st round picks and a 2nd rounder.
Harden averaged 16.8 points last year for OKC, along with 4.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists.
Martin averaged 17.1 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists for the Rockets.
On paper, this appears to be a solid deal for the Thunder. They weren't going to be able to keep Harden anyway, and Martin can provide some scoring for them. Throw in Lamb and the draft picks, and this looks like the Thunder got quite a steal.
What do you think of this trade? Did the Thunder do the right thing?
