Jared Allen, Pat Williams and Minnesota Vikings Have One Mission: Destroy Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay Packers
Aaron Rodgers Is The Hunted
NFL Opening Weekend never lacks intrigue, but this year's slate is shaping up to be one of the best ever.

The worst game - Jets vs Dolphins - has instantly turned into a must watch with the Brett Favre and Chad Pennington drama. Now, one the NFL's biggest rivalries featured on Monday Night Football has some bonus trash-talking pizazz.

Just under four weeks until the Minnesota Vikings visit Green Bay on the first Monday night of the season and the Vikes are already talking some game. Namely, defensive lineman Pat Williams and Jared Allen.

Williams, the Vikings defensive nose tackle, was asked if he'd been keeping up with the Favre saga:

“Damn, that’s their problem. They’re going through all that as a team, trying to figure out if Favre or (Aaron) Rodgers was the man, while we’ve got the same team we had all offseason. I’m glad they got all that darn press, ‘cause when we go down there it’ll be the kid’s first start and his first damn loss.”

“I’m going to try to crush all of ‘em. That’s been the focus of my whole summer – the
Green Bay Packers.”

Allen, the newly acquired defensive end had a more particular focus.

“Playing Green Bay on Monday night to start the season – that’s everything you want. Hopefully, I can put my helmet square in the back of (Rodgers') spine. If I can do that and knock the ball loose, it’ll be a good day.”

As I've long predicted, it may last all of one quarter before the Packers front office wishes they had a capable back up quarterback. Best of luck, Aaron. I've got my odds on the big angry Pro Bowl defensive linemen.

Monday night to open the season.  Replacing the legend Brett Favre.  Now this?  Aaron Rodgers has got to be wondering what he did for Karma to be shelling him like this.  I feel sorry for the kid.

The Hunted and prone to injury.. even when noone touches him.

I'll say that when got sacked (shocking) during last week's game... I did cringe.  I know that one of those times... he won't get up -- and then we're stuck with our newbie qb's....

It was all such an AWESOME decision.

I'm a bit of Brian Brohm guy myself, so seeing Rodgers hurt won't be a huge downer for me, although it would be a bit weird to see a backup QB get major playing time.

Anyhow, the Vikings are due to beat us eventually.  You just don't keep sweeping divisional rivals over and over.

What are the odds that Jarred may do that to Tavaris Jackson after a couple INT's?

I guess that mean the jersey retirement ceremony for #4 is off now. I will bet the Packer faithfull will blame that on Rodgers now

All bets were off when he said he wanted to come back -- they announced it then.. I don't think anyone cares about his jersey getting retired since he isn't retired anymore.....
