Jason Kidd Suspended For the First Two Games
New head coach of the Brooklyn Nets, Jason Kidd, will be suspended for the first two games of the regular season after pleading guilty to a DUI incident in July. The two games that Kidd will miss are against the Cleveland Cavaliers on October 30th and against the Miami Heat on November 3rd.
Assistant Coach Lawrence Frank will be taking over the head coach seating vacancy in the mean time.
"The decision is consistent with what the league has done in the past and we look forward to Jason leading our team versus Orlando and the rest of the year," GM Billy King said.
This isn’t necessarily the best way for Kidd to debut himself as the new head coach of the Nets, but winning has a way of fixing everything. And if the Nets start winning, this will all be a distant memory.
