Manchester United are planning to replace Javier Hernandez with Rayo Vallecano youngster Leo Baptistao. Reports from Spain have informed that Sir Alex Ferguson’s brother has been on a hunting mission for a new striker. Apparently, Manchester United scouts have been impressed by the 20-year-old striker’s performance in the 3-1 victory over Getafe.
Sir Alex Ferguson has been experiencing trouble with rotations this season, which has caused a restless Javier Hernandez to ponder about an away move. The Mexican striker is currently being linked with a transfer move to Real Madrid and Juventus.
Leo Baptistao was signed in by Rayo Vallecano as replacement of Michu, who was sold to Swansea City during the summer transfer window. Since arriving at the Spanish club Leo Baptistao as scored six goals and provided four assists in 12 La Liga appearances.
Last season Rayo Vallecano were struggling to save themselves from relegation. In stark contrast, Rayo Vallecano are pushing towards a top six finish this season. Rayo Vallecano’s rise in Spain has led to interest in a couple of other players from the squad as well, such as forward Piti and goalkeeper David Cobeno.
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been thoroughly impressed by Rayo Vallecano’s product Michu, which is why the Scotsman is ready to invest in Leo Baptistao.
Javier Hernandez, who has become tired of his bench role at Manchester United, believes he can no longer waste time on the sidelines. The 24-year-old Mexico international wants to play in the first team, preferably at Manchester United.
Javier Hernandez won’t be able to become a first-team regular at Manchester United, not while Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney are at the club. Therefore, it appears as if an away move is written in the books for Javier Hernandez.
Real Madrid have shown a lot of interest in Javier Hernandez in the past. A couple of Spanish clubs would be more than happy to sign in Javier Hernandez on loan as well.
Meanwhile, Leo Baptistao is expected to well at Old Trafford if he is signed in. Leo Baptistao appears to have a bright future for both club and country if he continues to produce similar progress.
