Jayson Werth 3-HR, 8 RBI Night [MLB Walk-Off]
Welcome To Our Tiny Little Ballpark

Do you think AL teams just beg that their Interleague schedule consists of visits to the Great American Ballpark and Citizens Bank Park? They must.

Although both of those home teams took their launching pad parks to their advantage. Jayson Werth of the Phillies in particular.

Philly's centerfielder blasted three home runs, including one grand slam, to drive in eight of the Phillies 10 run against Toronto. This was one of very few wins for the National League on Day 1.

Phillies 10, Blue Jays 3

Dunn in by the Pen 6 solo home runs at the Great American Ballpark, three on each side, determined the game through 7 1/2 innings. Then Jensen Lewis gave up a double and walked three straight Reds, the last of which allowed the winning run to score. Adam Dunn was able to draw the game winning walk. 4th straight win for the Redlegs is the most all season. Reds 4, Indians 3.

Josh Hamilton Had A Day The continuing great story of the Rangers' Hamilton got a little better Friday night. 5-5, 2 HR, and 5 RBI's will do. Rangers 16, Astros 8.

Rays Keep Rolling The St. Louis-Tampa series is one of the most interesting this weekend, and definitely one of the most unexpected matchups of winning teams. Andy Sonnastine got a little help from scouting help Troy Percival and managed to keep the Cards to just one run off eight hits. It's hard not to buy in now on the TB bandwagon. They look like a team who knows how to win and with this pitching, they should continue to do so. Rays 3, Cards 1.

Apparently, This Soriano Guy Can Hit
A week ago the Cubs highest paid player had a .190 batting average and looked lost. Seven days later, Alfonso has five more home runs and a .265 average. That'll work. I'm just happy to see the ball hit the bat, honestly. Soriano has hit three leadoff home runs just this week, and Friday hit another in his second at bat. OK, fine, you can stay in the leadoff spot for now. By the way, the MLB office should revisit their schedule. 12 games against the Bucs in the first  50? That's seems a little ridiculous. Cubs 7, Pirates 4.
