There are times when you're listening to someone talk where you can almost see the BS actually pouring out of their mouth. And man, was it ever coming out of Jerry Jones's mouth yesterday. While speaking to the media about the current Pacman Jones incident, Jerry came up with one of more interesting excuses for Pacman that you'll ever hear. Roll it:
“I almost feel like I’m an enabler, because it’s the very people that I have with him that created this. Had we not had that security with him, this wouldn’t have happened. Really. Had we not had the security with him, it wouldn’t have happened.”
I'm sure Roger Goodell will buy that, even though that's like saying that if money didn't exist, we wouldn't be in this current financial crisis. Damn you money for being the enabler!
Let's also disregard the fact that had Pacman NOT had security with him, lord only knows what he would have done.
At this point, it's clear that Jerry Jones is pretty much just looking to find anyway humanly possible to keep his one good healthy cornerback on the field.
I just can't wait for what Jerry's excuse will be when Goodell finally kicks Pacman out of the league.
"But you see commissioner, if the NFL hadn't ever been created, this wouldn't have ever happened. So, in a lot of ways, you're the enabler."
Good luck with that Jerry.
