Boeheim came out swinging in defense of Fine, saying:
"I know this kid, but I never saw him in any rooms or anything," Boeheim told ESPN. "It is a bunch of a thousand lies that he has told. You don't think it is a little funny that his cousin (relative) is coming forward?
"He supplied four names to the university that would corroborate his story. None of them did ... there is only one side to this story. He is lying."
Does Jim Boeheim really think Davis decided to just make up, out of the blue, that he was sexually assaulted for years? And who did he accuse but, Boeheim's friend Bernie Fine! Heck, if he was lying and really wanted to make a splash, why didn't he just go an accuse Boeheim himself!
The truth is that there is little positive that can come for Davis from making these allegations. Sure, he might win money in civil lawsuits--but that would mean he'd have to have convinced a jury that he was actually molested. In no way, shape or form does that make up for the stigma that Davis, and other victims of sexual abuse, have to face by a not-always-accepting society.
Further, all of the facts have not come out in this case. If Davis is indeed a victim, blaming him in any manner is despicable. And if it eventually comes out that Fine did molest Davis, than Boeheim will likely come off looking far worse than Joe Paterno ever did. At least Paterno didn't defend the accuser after the fact.
The mental scarring that sexual abuse causes is unimaginable. And if Davis was actually abused Boeheim simply twisted the knife deeper into his wounds.
If Davis wasn't abused, it is still no time to be pointing the finger at him--that day would come.
While I hope that these horrible allegations are indeed false, I find it hard to believe that that is the case, and thus I am sickened by Jim Boeheim right now.

Inconclusive.... I don't see a big deal with SU hireing a Private Invesitgative service. Who in their right minds would want the press of a possible molestation at their place of buisiness?
Let's give this a little time and see what surfaces... Let's not forget Duke LaCross

This was investigated in 2005 and NOTHING came of it.... It looks to me like the guy want's attention and is crying wolf again.
If Fine is guilty it's obviously a horrible crime... but if Boeheim is willing to put his HOF career on the line by backing his guy, I have to side with him until more facts are uncovered.
It's irresponsible to back a pedophile, but it's even more irresponsible to jump to conclusions about people based on a similar situation.
