Jim Grobe Next Arkansas Razorbacks Football Coach

You see, I told you it was a good flight tracking night. Jim Grobe to Arkansas. Note: I don't think that's actually THE flight, just one from Charlotte to Northwest Arkansas airport late this evening.

Good for Jim Grobe who's been one of the best college football coaches over the last few years turning what should never be a football threat, Wake Forest, into ACC Champions last season.

I don't think Arkansas fans realize what they're getting:
"We’ll have more on this tomorrow, but in short, this is a fantastic hire. Not a home run, but probably a solid double into the gap."
No, it's a home run, not only for Razorback fans but Felix Jones who will hit many next year in Grobe's offense.

So where do Wake Forest go from here?

I can't remember his name, I think its Muschamp, but the crazy Defensive Coordinator from Auburn?

That's a tough call as it's an extremely tough job. Grobe came from Ohio so that was still a step up for him. I think Muschamp will keep waiting for a big SEC gig.

I'd hire Glen Mason first thing tomorrow if it was my choice. Similar style to Grobe. Did a lot with very little to sell in Minnesota, and should be able to do the same at Wake.

I didn't even think of Mason.  He'd be a great hire, very similar situation.  I always laugh at how Mason thought he had the Ohio State job a few years ago and was ready to resign and everything, but he's a good coach.  He certainly knows his football, and his approach to the game would fit the Demon Deacons very well.

looks like Grobe is staying at Wake Forest. Don't know why though....
