Jim Rome celebrates his 44th birthday today. So what better way to celebrate with him, then to reach into the FanIQ video vault and relive my personal favorite Jim Rome moment.

This video takes us all the way back to 1994, when a young Jim Rome was hosting some show on the newly made ESPN2. Jim had been critical of Jim Everett before the interview on his radio show by saying that "Everett shied away from getting hit", which led him to calling Everett Chris Everett.

As we all know, Jim called him Chris to his face and hilarity ensued.

Ah one of my proudest moments of being a Rams fan. I remember the next morning when Jim Rome reported to the studios do his show, it created so much media out front the building you would of thought Jim Rome was just acquitted on rape charges. But it was a calculated move from Rome and the move put him on the map and the rest is history. And you know Jim did have a case of the "happy feet" Everybody got on Jim because he use to throw off his back foot.
