Jimmy Clausen's Almost Heismans Might Be Damaged Goods
You know how Jimmy Clausen was going to step into the role vacated by Brady Quinn, lead the universe in passing, win the Heisman and bring Charlie Weis a National Title? Well, there's seem to be a problem with that. Jimmy Clausen might very well be damaged goods. The Heisman Pundit wonders if the wonder boy QB could be the end for Charlie.
Now, though, it appears as if Clausen may be damaged goods. He had surgery on his right throwing elbow and barely did much of anything in spring ball. Things are very quiet around Notre Dame regarding Clausen, whose hype has diminished considerably as a result ....

... In the meantime, Notre Dame has seen the writing on the wall regarding Clausen and has secured a commitment from another quarterback from the San Fernando Valley, Notre Dame High signal caller Dayne Crist, who is highly-regarded and could very well be the quarterback of the future.

His commitment to the Irish signals that Weis is probably a bit worried about the future of his star recruit.

If Clausen ends up redshirting this season, it could be a long year for the Irish. Then he will have to compete with Crist and this year's starter for the job the following season. What once looked like a slam-dunk quarterback situation for Weis has quite possibly turned into a mess.
We'll give Jimmy the benefit of the doubt for now, but ND has been awfully quiet about this potentially damaged goods QB. There wasn't any way Clausen was going to live up to expectation anyway. Sorry, Charlie.

Ok, I can see why some may be concerned about Clausen, just maybe. But them signing another top QB in the next class should be no shock. Any school or coach is going to sign a top notch QB every season if given the chance.

Jason....

I love you, Man...you know that.

But you have to remember that the great thing about the internet is that anyone can create a website.  The bad thing about the internet?  Anyone can create a website.

The premises of this guy's article are entirely unfounded (and from what I know...living in South Bend...being an ND grad...a couple of times..still having some connections to the University....they are indeed false) and it is wrong to repost crap like this without substantiation.

Come on...we all like to have fun here, but reposting stuff like this is tantamount to libel.
