With brother pitted against brother in the Super Bowl, things have been a little too serious and exciting at the same time. While the Harbaugh brothers have downplayed any sibling rivalry, both have their eyes set on Lombardi Trophy and aren’t going to cut the other some slack when the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers face off at the Superdome on Feb. 3.

While the whole nation is choosing sides in this epic Super Bowl matchup between the two coaches – Baltimore Ravens’ John Harbaugh and San Francisco 49ers’ Jim Harbaugh – there is one party that intends to remain neutral no matter what follows. Jack and Jackie Harbaugh- parents of the two Super Bowl coaches will be cheering on for both of their sons. But that doesn’t stop the Harbaugh brothers from competing for their parents’ love.

During the Harbaugh family’s conference call for the media on Thursday, a person who identified himself as "John from Baltimore" called-in and asked the two NFL coaches’ parents a question, that for a moment left them struggling for an immediate response.

"Is it true that both of you like Jim better than John?" inquired the caller.

Mom tried to put out the hint flames that could light raging wildfire.

“We do not ..." started of Jackie Harbaugh before her daughter jumped in.

"Hey, John, is that you?" said younger sister Joani Crean who recognized the voice on the other end as her brother’s.

Apparently, the Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh thought it was high time he turned the media’s joke on themselves, while having some fun with his folks.

"Is that John Harbaugh?" added dad. "Hey, John, Mom was ready to come right through this phone. I'm so happy that Joani recognized your voice."

The Harbaugh brothers previously faced off last season and well and like most matchups only one left as the victor. John Harbaugh’s Baltimore Ravens defeated Jim Harbaugh’s San Francisco 49ers in a Thanksgiving game.

But no matter what the Harbaugh family seems to support each other at every turn.

"You've got the fighting spirit up,” said Jack Harbaugh at the end of the call. “That's the way it should be, all right. That's all I needed to hear. I just needed to know that.”
