After receiving his third Synvisc injection in his left knee, reports came out that John Wall would begin to ramp-up his basketball activity. No one told Wizards fans that “ramp-up” really meant Wall fully extending his left leg and running without "too much" pain.
Prior to the season, the Wizards said that John Wall would return by November 30, however, we are now approaching Christmas and Wall is still very far from even practicing. Do we smell an Andrew Bogut type of cover up?
Wall recently said, “Before there was so much pain you couldn’t even run on it. I couldn’t stretch my leg out at one point. It’s been getting better. I just got to take my time and see where it goes from there.”
Wall was recently asked if it would be better if he sat out the entire season and he said, “I’m not thinking like that. Hopefully the time I’ve taken off and the shots I got and the treatment I’ve been getting is helping me get healthy so I can play basketball this season. You don’t want to miss a whole season. If it comes to it, you have to, but I’m trying not to think that far ahead.”
The Wizards are now 3-18 this season, but losing John Wall for an entire season would be a far, far worse.
