This comes just in time for the Lakers to face the Miami Heat on Christmas day, after a complete blowout in Phoenix on Monday night.
The SoCal native was cleared by the team, and he's excited to get back out there. He said:
"Finally to get the clearance and just be able to come out there and help the guys out, do anything I can, is what I'm excited about... I just noticed without somebody taking control there was no really sense of purpose. So it was kind of random basketball and just out there playing. Now I can go out there and just look for Nick [Young], look for Pau [Gasol], get X [Xavier Henry] going. Just pick my spots and get everybody comfortable doing what they do best."
That's exactly what the Lakers need, and it couldn't have come at a better time. While the Lakers weren't terrible without a point guard, it's clear that there's just a lot of shooting going on, and not a ton of smart shot selections. Farmar should definitely help alleviate this problem.
