Jose Canseco Knocked Out By Ex-NFL Player Vai Sikahema

Jose Canseco Finally Gets What's Coming To Him
7/13/08

For the three or four of you boxing fans left out there, you probably were tuned in to the Wladimir Klitschko versus Tony Thompson fight Saturday night. After all, it was a heavyweight title fight.

But did you know there was an even bigger fight than that one on Saturday?

Yep, Jose Canseco was involved in a "celebrity" "boxing" match in Atlantic City. I put celebrity and boxing in quotes there because I'm not sure either of those two terms actually apply, but whatever.

Canseco, who'd pretty much sell his soul for money at this point in time, fought former NFL running back and return man Vai Sikahema. And before you make fun of Sikahema, know that Sikahema was donating part of his $25,000 purse money to the widow of a Philadelphia police sergeant killed in the line of duty earlier this year. Canseco, who reportedly made $35,000, obviously wasn't giving any to charity.

If you're wondering how long the fight lasted, the answer is not very long. Sikahema, who fought in 80 amateur bouts before he began his pro football career, absolutely decked Canseco less than a minute into the fight. In addition to that, he also gave probably the funniest quote I've heard in a long time.
Asked after the fight if there were any surprises, Sikahema said, "That it didn't finish in the first 30 seconds."
Oh snap! By the way, Sikahema was also kept taking shots after the beat down, primarily because Canseco had talked a ton of trash before the fight.
"He's a very impressive-looking guy," Sikahema added. "But the guy is a walking corpse, because he's rotted inside out. He's a pathetic figure."
Couldn't have said it better myself. Thanks for doing the world a favor, Vai.

And while I don't have video of the huge knock out yet, just pretend this goalpost is Canseco's face.

Imagine the amount of MLB players that would line up for a chance to knock Canseco out.  If he was a jerk and only kept half the money, he'd still be a millionaire in no time.

I love the image aligned on the right -- it literally looks like Sikahema knocked Canseco's lights out.
