We both predicted a win for Jose Fernandez and Wil Myers, and that's exactly what happened.

Fernandez became the first Cuban-born player to win the award, taking home 26 of the 30 possible first place votes. Fellow Cuban-born player Yasiel Puig came in 2nd, followed by Cardinals pitcher Shelby Miller.

In the American League, Rays outfielder Wil Myers beat out Jose Iglesias and Rays teammate Chris Archer. Myers received 23 first place votes to win rather handily.

Congrats to Jose Fernandez and Wil Myers, who are both very deserving winners of the 2013 Rookie of the Year award.
