Jose Fernandez and his grandmother reunited before the ROY presentation
Jose Fernandez had an incredible season with the Miami Marlins, becoming the first Cuban-born player to win the National League Rookie of the Year award.
The toughest thing about his season, according to Fernandez, was the fact that his grandmother was stuck in Cuba and never got to see him pitch in America.
That's probably going to change now that she was able to come over to the United States from Cuba, apparently due to some magic from Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria.
Check out the video of Fernandez reuniting with his grandmother. Don't forget to grab some tissues.
