Jose Mourinho really knows how play with words and the hearts of his fans. Just a couple of days after hinting his return to Chelsea, the Real Madrid manager has dampened speculation about coming back to the Premier League.
Jose Mourinho is expected to leave Real Madrid at the end of his current campaign. The Portuguese has already admitted that he hopes to return to England one day and with Chelsea looking for a manager this summer it appears as if Jose Mourinho is destined to become the Stamford Bridge boss once again.
However, expecting Jose Mourinho to become the Chelsea manager would be us getting ahead of ourselves. Jose Mourinho is taking advantage of the international break to spend time in his beloved city, London. Upon being questioned on whether he was going to return to Chelsea this summer, Jose Mourinho insisted that he was only thinking about making Real Madrid successful at the moment.
“Every time I come to London people start making connections to me returning,” Jose Mourinho told Sky Sports News. “I fear it a little bit because I say every day when I have the chance that I love it here, that I have spent fantastic times here and I will return here one day.
“To be fair, I give it a little bit of motivation for that speculation because I love it here but at the end of the day I am in Madrid and I am very, very committed to the ambitions of the club for the remainder of the season. We are in the last stages of the Champions League, we have a [Copa del Rey] final to play against our rivals Atletico Madrid.
“People that know me, know that I am a professional. In this moment, I only speak about my job with Real.”
Jose Mourinho was one of the most successful managers in Chelsea’s history. The former Inter Milan manager helped Chelsea acquire their first league title in 50 years and helped them to a number of other silverwares as well. Jose Mourinho has confessed he has a special place for Chelsea in his heart and would love to come back to the club one day.
“I have big emotional connections with Chelsea and one day I think, naturally, I have to be back to English football,” Jose Mourinho said. “To Chelsea or to another club. Of course Chelsea means to me differently what other clubs do. Chelsea is in my heart like Inter [Milan] is and so one day I have to be back.”
