Jose Mourinho has culled reports suggesting he was moving to Chelsea this summer. The Real Madrid manager claims he intends to stay at the club “until I stop and not one day further”. This news comes after the Portuguese boss was caught amidst a new saga of munity.
It appears as if Jose Mourinho is standing alone on island filled with hostiles. His old allies Pepe and Cristiano Ronaldo seem to have deserted him. Apparently, the Portugal international are unhappy with the manager’s team selection and biased favoring of Raphael Varane.
Jose Mourinho was widely expected to leave Real Madrid this summer. The former Inter Milan manager has dropped a lot of hints on his return to Chelsea. Moreover, the Stamford Bridge occupants have also been quite interested in hiring him back.
No conclusive evidence suggests progress has been made on these grounds, yet numerous reports from reliable sources have declared that Jose Mourinho is Chelsea bound.
Rife speculation suggests Jose Mourinho and Real Madrid president Florentino Perez are playing a high-stakes game. Jose Mourinho, who inked a long term contract with Chelsea, is hoping to get a big payday by getting himself fired.
On the other hand, Florentino Perez has crossed his fingers in hopes for a bid on Jose Mourinho. Florentino Perez is wishing for Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to present him with a €10 million plus bid for Jose Mourinho.
Now, it appears as if Jose Mourinho has decided take matters into his own hands.
“I have decided to continue,” Jose Mourinho said, failing to give more information on the issue. “I want to be paid by Real Madrid right until the day that I stop, not one day further.
“I understand that the world of football, just like the modern society in general, can be a hypocritical place. Those are not my principles. I feel fine, normal, relaxed at the moment.”
If Jose Mourinho does end up staying at Real Madrid for another season, his biggest challenge would be to reunite a team that has split into many smaller factions since the day of his arrival. It will be a difficult task, but it’s only thing standing in between him and greatness at Real Madrid.
