Someone call Bob Uecker out of the Brew-crew's broadcast booth and tell him it's time for a Major League reunion!  You can't make this stuff up, folks.  While I pick myself up off the floor from laughing, read the article...

Chicken at Indians BP

That's right, Indians starting pitcher Justin Masterson brought a live chicken to batting practice yesterday.  He got it from someone he knows who knows someone else who owns a farm.

For those who may not remember, in the classic baseball comedy that was all about the Indians, Pedro Cerrano wanted to sacrifice a live chicken to Jobu because he felt it would help him win the last game of the season...Jake Taylor and the rest of the team bought him KFC.  In this case, Masterson really brought the bird onto the field.  But rest assured, no harm, no fowl here, the bird is perfectly fine.  He was given to Cody Allen whose nickname is "chicken."

I'm not a Cleveland fan by any means, but I have a newfound respect for Justin Masterson for reminding us of one of the greatest baseball movies of all time.  Bravo, Justin!
