Serie A giants Juventus are scheduled to play against Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals. Juventus manager Antonio Conte claims his side will travel to Germany with “confidence” and “no fear”.

Juventus will land in Munich following a composed 2-1 victory at San Siro against Inter Milan. The victory has allowed Juventus to keep their nine-point lead over second-placed Napoli on the Serie A table. With only nine games remaining in the season, Juventus are hot-favorites to take away the Serie A title for the second successive year.

Antonio Conte, who took Juventus to their 28th league title in his debut season, reckons it’s time for the Bianconeri to show mettle in the Champions League.

“In Italy we're on the right road (to success), but now we have to show what we're made of in Europe,” Antonio Conte said. “We're going to Munich with no fear and a lot of confidence. We'll be up against a strong Bayern side, but we believe in this dream.”

Bayern Munich, who obliterated Hamburg with a 9-2 scoreline last weekend, are one of the most in-form teams this season. Antonio Conte might have to field a team without his star striker Sebastian Giovinco, since he picked up an ankle injury in the win over Inter Milan.

Mirko Vucinic is still recovering from flu, which means Fabio Quagliarella and Alessandro Matri are expected to be paired in Antonio Conte’s attack. Fabio Quagliarella scored a stunner before Alessandro Matri netted the final goal in Juventus’ 2-1 win over Inter Milan.

Alessandro Matri, who has been on the bench for most of the season, said is ready to meet the challenge of defeating Bayern Munich.

“It's up to the coach, of course, but it goes without saying I'm ready to play against Bayern,” Alessandro Matri said. “It seems I always score when I'm playing alongside Quagliarella, as we get along well.

“Europe remains a dream for us. Bayern have some great individual players and we know how they play.”
