Kissed By a Cow
I was bless to be kissed
By a cow today!
It watched me feeding a horse,
And it listened to me say…
“My, how very pretty you are,
You precious little thing!”
The softness in those big brown eyes
Made my heart so joyfully ring!
I squatted down, upon my knees,
Began softly, then, to sing…
“Whispering hope” was the words
I sang to this beautiful thing…
It listened to my off key voice,
Then eased right up to me,
Slowly reached out its big wet nose,
And kissed me on my cheek!
Oh, how happy was my heart
To have made this brand new friend!
Tomorrow, I pray I am so blessed
As to be kissed by a cow again!
