Kaka eager to building chemistry with Balotelli at AC Milan
AC Milan’s celebrated cult-hero Kaka was given a hero’s welcome upon his reunion with the club. A story that was dubbed as ‘The Return of the Prodigal Son’ by the media was simply seen as an occasion of “immense joy” by the coveted Brazilian attacking midfielder. Kaka left Real Madrid only to return to AC Milan, although he had the opportunity play under former Rossoneri boss Carlo Ancelotti.
Kaka claims he wants to be on the field once again, something he wouldn’t have been able to achieve at Real Madrid, where a plethora of new signings and new tactics will be implemented by Ancelotti this season. The 31-year-old Brazil international, who became the World Player of the Year in 2007, claims he waited for the day he “returned home” after four “difficult years” at the Bernabeu.
AC Milan tried to sign in Kaka twice before, but their efforts resulted in futility. However, the third time proved to be the charm. Kaka is now eager to bring out his best and form a formidable partnership with Mario Balotelli in the attack. Hundreds came out to welcome Kaka at AC Milan’s headquarters in Via Turati. Kaka, who has been handed back his No. 22 jersey, claims he has “dreamt” of this day.
“Milan is ideal for me and in the past few days, I’ve dreamt of hearing the fans singing my name inside the San Siro,” Kaka told Milan Channel.
Kaka and AC Milan fans will have to wait for three weeks to re-enter the San Siro when AC Milan host Napoli. The mouthwatering clash will be clash of Italian giants. The results of the game will give insight into which team will be competing for the Serie A title this season.
“I’ve always played with great champions here,” Kaka said. “Before it was Pippo Inzaghi, and now it’s Balotelli. I hope to experience immense joy with Mario. I was really sad to leave here, but now the delight at returning is twice as strong.”
Kaka, who won the league title and the Champions League title with AC Milan in his last term, will give AC Milan’s attack a huge boost. AC Milan striker Stephan El Shaarawy claims he is eager to play with the Brazilian this season.
“He’s my idol,” El Shaarawy told reporters in Florence where he is on international duty for Italy. “It’s a dream come true for me to play with Kaka. I’m delighted.”
