Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tennessee Titans and St Louis Rams Could Still Go 0-16
0-16 Watch: Only 4 Teams Remaining, With 11 Games To Go
Two weeks ago, we took a look at the NFL teams that were still capable of going 0-16 this year. Since then, the Panthers, Dolphins and Browns have all somehow picked up a win. So we're left with only 4 winless teams remaining. Let's take an updated look at them, and their 0-16 chances.

Tennessee Titans - Last time, I had their chances at 0%. I was convinced that they would eventually pick up a win, and I was pretty sure it was going to happen in Week 4 against the Jaguars. Unfortunately, they got wrecked in that one, and then again against the Colts last night. However, they still have shown glimpses of enough talent that I would be extremely surprised if they didn't eventually find a way to win. Especially since they play the Rams at home in Week 14. They'll probably win before that,
Chances of going 0-16: 3%

Kansas City Chiefs - Previously at 5%, I think the Chiefs have actually shown that they have legitimate potential to win a couple games. However, they're also 2 games closer to 0-16 than they were before. They won't be a good team by any stretch, but they took the Cowboys to overtime, after leading for most of the game. They'll play several teams that are worse than the Cowboys, including the Bills and Browns (both at home) in Weeks 14 and 15, respectively.
Chances of going 0-16: Still 5%

Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Last time I put the Buccaneers' 0-16 chances at 15%. After they lost to a very bad Redskins team, I now believe their best remaining opportunity to win will be this week at home against the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers just picked up their first win (against those very same Redskins), and Jake Delhomme is perilously close to the Jamarcus Russell category, when it comes to awful QB's. They have 2 games against the Panthers, and one against the Dolphins. Even though the Bucs are terrible, those just might be winnable games.
Chances of going 0-16: 30%

St Louis Rams - They're the team that I listed with the best chances last time (50%), and I still think they are the team with the most 0-16 potential. They're god-awful, and their schedule is reasonably tough. The worst teams they play are the Jaguars, Lions and Titans. But all of them are still better than the Rams, and those games are all on the road. At this point, I'd be surprised if the Rams DON'T go 0-16.
Chances of going 0-16: 60%

What are your thoughts on the remaining winless teams? What are the chances that we see an 0-16 team for the second year in a row? If my math is correct, I'd put it at about 74.198% that at least one of these teams will finish the season winless. Think I'm crazy? Maybe I am, but the bad NFL teams this year are REALLY bad. We'll see how it plays out.

We're so bad, I hate to even watch the games.. They give you hope for a split second, then take it all away w/ bad plays... I got the "My Bucs Suck" Blues...

Can we take teams away from Washington? Peter King made an excellent point that Washington has not played a team with a win yet when they faced him (it is kind of cheating b/c the Giants were winless b/c it was their first game). And in game 6 they get to face the winless Chiefs:

Week 1: vs. 0-0 Giants.
Week 2: vs. 0-1 Rams.
Week 3: vs. 0-2 Lions.
Week 4: vs. 0-3 Bucs.
Week 5: vs. 0-3 Panthers.
Week 6: vs. 0-5 Chiefs.

They should honestly not have a win. They look awful.

Titans Chiefs Bucs and Rams. I think the Titans will win first. They are better than the other 3.

That whole parity thing is great, isn't it Mr. Goodell?

So much for thinking the Lions/Rams game would be a battle for 0-16 between those 2.  Right now it looks like the Lions could easily murder the Rams.

Oddly the Rams at times looked pretty good against the Vikings. Atleast on Offence..they marched down the field 3 or 4 times...got down to the goal line and then fumbled or turned the ball over another way. It almost looks like they are just cursed.

Look at the Bright Side: Eric Berry, Sam Bradford or my personal favorite, Ndamukong Suh, despite the successesf Ryan Flacco and Sanchez, those are the exceptions that prove the rule, Berry is amazing but safeties very rarely go top 5 and never #1, Suh is the most dominant DT prospect in about 10 year, violent and powerful hand usage, well-conditioned, 307 lbs, 400+ bench, 500+ squat, around 4.99 in the 40 and great timing and instincts.

the rams look like the dubious winners of the 0-16 derby. but i think the raiders would actually loose to the rams

The only way the Rams win a game is if they play perfect football for 4 quarters.  Yesterday they had there chances, but they fumbled twice inside the Vikings 5 yard line and it ultimately cost them any chance to keep the game within striking distance.  The Rams just dont have the talent to overcome 1 mistake they make on the field.  Unless a team gives them a game, I just cant see them winning a game this season

Considering who is coaching the team, the Bucs have great odds. They have the defensive coordinator from the 0-16 Detroit Lions. The Glazers picked him up this year for a song. Raheem Morris isn't qualified to call a time out. WHY WON'T THEY PLAY THE TAMPA TWO!!!

Rams for sure

I went looking for a Rams or Bucs win and I can't find one that makes sense.

The ONLY games I think they could possibly win are vs the Panthers (who still suck BTW) and maybe the Packers on the day they wear the Bucco Bruce unis.....oh and the Dolphins too.

the rams are currently 0-14 in thier last 14, i can see them going 0-16 in thier last 16, but not for the season.  honestly I don't think there will be an 0-16 team this season.  of those listed I'd say the bucs look the worse of the 4 but I think they will beat someone.

These teams are the definition of parity (except for KC and STL).  The Dolphins, Panthers, Titans all won their divisions last year, and the Bucs were close in December.  It sucks for those fans but I think it's great for football that other teams have the chance every season (again, except for the Missouri teams)

So does this mean the members of the 2008 Detriot Lions are all going to get together and pop champagne bottles open the minute the lone remaining winless team finally wins a game ala the 1972 Dolphins when the last undefeated team finally loses?

It's the opposite feeling though.  Misery loves company, so nothing would make the 08 Lions happier than to see another team follow in its footsteps.  Those 72 Dolphins don't want anyone near them

Well I appreciate the thought, I was attempting to be sarcastic towards the 72 Dolphins arrogance in a reverse manner. While I may have failed at here...sorry..lol

Steven Jackson won't let that happen. Week 8 vs the Lions. He will run all over them in the dome. I do feel back for Steven being on such a bad team.

this is so stupid. then put your money where your mouth is and bet me a hundred bucks! just because the lions went winless last year doesnt mean its goin to be a trend. The rams suck bad but are still better then oakland and cleveland. the cheifs get another crack at the raiders and the Bucs play the panthers twice

Yeah, this isn't the best year for Tampa to dig up those memories. We should wear 1996 throwbacks!

My money's still on The Artists Formerly Known As The Tampa Bay Buccaneers to go winless.

I believe that there will be no team which will go 0-16.  Even the terrible Rams will get a donation from some unprepared team.
