According to Sports Illustrated, Snyder has agreed to a five-year deal worth $14.75 million ($500,000 increase per year).
This is a great deal for Kansas State, which is coming off an 11-win season and Fiesta Bowl appearance. Snyder will become the fifth-highest paid coach in the Big 12 once Baylor’s Art Briles’ contract is finalized.
Snyder’s buyout is $2 million, but if he decides to retire before the 2017 season, he won’t owe anything to the school.
He’s signed through 2017, but I don’t think any of us can expect him to stay on the sidelines much longer – especially if his 55th-ranked recruiting class doesn’t exceed its title on the field.

Definitely an under-the-radar coach that deserves a whole lot more appreciation.

I generally root for KU, but it is really difficult not to appreciate Bill Snyder. What a legend.
