Not a big surprise, but various outlets are now reporting that Kelvin Sampson has coached his final game for the Indiana Hoosiers. WTHR of Indiana says the Hoosiers have been making plans to go on without Sampson the rest of the season whether that's a suspension and subsequent firing, or just firing. Jeff Goodman says they'll fire Sampson tomorrow. Either way they do it, I hope they deliver the message via Text. U R FIRED, K THX.
It will likely come down to whether they can reach a settlement with Kelvin by tomorrow. If not, suspension. If so, good bye.
Whether you think extra phone calls is a big deal doesn't really matter. The former chair of the ethics committee broke the rules and was warned, only garnering small sanctions. Then he broke the rules again. That's just plain stupid and he deserves to be canned.
Now go get yourself a quality coach you deserve, Hoosiers.
