Kenny Britt activated, but suspension is looming
He's allegedly been looking healthy and in shape the past few weeks, getting "as close as you can probably get without practicing," according to head coach Mike Munchak.
Britt will be allowed to join teammates this week and begin practicing, which is good for him so he can get a feel for his teammates and build team chemistry. It's especially important considering he'll have a new quarterback, Jake Locker, throwing him passes this year.
If he is eligible to play, the Titans plan on giving him 10-15 snaps in the season opener. However, it is almost a foregone conclusion that Britt will be suspended for some period of time. After piling up a number of run-ins with the law since coming into the league, Britt's most recent DUI is almost certain to lock him in to a multiple game suspension. The league, however, has taken a long time to announce their decision on his punishment, which, if anything, must bode well for the young wide receiver.
The Titans expect the league to make an announcement regarding Britt's suspension by Friday, before the team is forced to make their final roster cuts.
